Choosing your Community

Herrington Homes is an established builder within multiple communities in Wilmington and the surrounding areas. Work with our community specialists to determine which one of our communities is the right fit for you and your lifestyle.

Selecting a House Plan, Colors & Features

Every home begins with a great plan. Choose from the floor plans available in your community, then personalize it with our selections and option packages. Once your selections are complete, we’ll prepare the contract for your new home.

Preconstruction

It’s during this phase that we take care of administrative tasks like ordering surveys and obtaining all permits and approvals necessary to start building. Once this is all complete we will have a preconstruction meeting to review the site plan and confirm your selected options.

Construction

After receiving building permits from the county in which your home will be built, we will quickly begin the construction of your new home.

Additionally, as part of the post-construction process, we hire a third-party home inspector to complete a detailed inspection, free of charge.

Welcome Home! Approximately 1 month prior to closing and move-in, we will schedule two walkthroughs to ensure your home is delivered to our rigorous standards.

Even after you move in, we are here for you. Your peace of mind is protected by our comprehensive 1-year home warranty and 10-year structural warranty.
